Hello CRMers!

I'm not the first non-French speaking person here, am I?
During past year I silently read the forum via google translate. It is quite painful, but still I've gather so much answers for my noob questions thanks to all of you forum members.

Anyway, my name is Andrey and I'm living in Russia, Nizhny Novgorod. I'm proud owner of CRM 125 1991 imported from Finland as separate parts a couple years ago and this is my first full-size enduro. I ride pure off road and as hard as I can. I know that CRM is not the best choice for that, but I didn't really have other options for my budget. It’s a bit challenging to own CRM125 for someone living in Russia giving complete absence of parts stores locally (any CRM spare cause me waiting for 10 days at least) and lack of adequate workshops. But thanks to this forum, google and Chinese guys who really like to produce copies of Honda motorcycles parts, my bike is still on its wheels Smile

I’m not the first owner of this bike in Russia. I bought it from a guy from Saint-Pete. This is how I saw it first time at delivery office (previous owner also used it for enduro):

My thought was “neat, it has arrow silencer!” Smile
It was old fully de-restricted enduro bike with completely rebuilt engine in a bad shape cosmetically. So many things we went thru…

- Installed studs inside old tires for winter rides https://youtu.be/k5z8KXZmjxk
- Re-assembled and sealed wire harness
- Removed oil tank, installed alloy throttle grip with bearing and replaced Y-type wire cable with simple I-type
- Replaced footrests with larger mx-type rests with better grip (musthave for enduro!)
- Removed speedo wire cable and gearing, passenger footrests, toolbox. Turn and stop signal were already removed
- Installed reinforced brake hoses
- Replaced clutch wire cable with one from Chinese bike (plug-and-play, works perfect)
- Improved custom-made radiator guard, installed 2x 120mm fans
- Replaced rear wheel bearings and seals, gear selector seal, fork seals, 2x linkage needle bearings and seals, head gasket, engine oil, coolant, …
- Replaced front fender with Yamaha YZ
- Installed 35W LED bulb
- Installed alloy gear shifter pedal
- Installed pipe guard, hour meter and fuel filter
- Some plastic fixing, de-painting and sticker application job Smile
- Lots of other stuff which I can’t recall Smile

Recently I had 4-week maintenance including 2-week awaiting for a gasket kit, but now it’s all done and I spend my weekends in woods, fields, hills and sands! Hope you guys are don’t mind if I’ll make a post or two in English on this forum Wink

what's your job in russia?

what's the big city near you live?on the map,i see you're very far of moscow....

is there many crm in russia,or only a little?

if you use your bike in enduro,the oversize cylinder malossi in 182cm3 is a good choice....33hp and a lot of torque at any rpm....

you can participate and post,or ask question on the forum in english ,i speak english without problem....and i think many members too.... Wink

Nizhny is one of the largest Russian cities and quite close to Moscow in our scale Smile To my regret I never heard about any other owner of 125cc CRM here except the guy who sold it to me. CRM 250 are quite popular though, but it's very different to 125cc. I know about few NSR 125, but those are still very rare. This forum is actually the only place I can speak to a real CRM owner Smile

I'd love to install Malossi kit as I would be definitely happy with some additional Nm and hp but new cylinder kit doesn't fit to my budget. With Arrow exhaust and some other tweaks like lesser weight and CDI mod it goes ok for me. Also I recently switched to a new 12x50 chain kit which made my rides much more pleasant. I think I'll make a post with some pictures on how 50T sprocket were installed.

And I’m a programmer by the way Smile
